Community Projects.

Community Garden Program

The Forgiveness and Peace Community Garden Program is situated within Salem's Northgate Park. Our program is dedicated to fostering community involvement throughout the year, with a particular focus on the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons. There are various ways in which you can become part of our garden community. You can join as a gardener, volunteer your time, enroll in our educational programs like the Under the Tree Reading Program, take part in community walks, or receive regular updates about our annual events.

Salem Neighborhood Community Walk

The Community Walks project aims to prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our community. Its primary objective is to promote overall health among individuals. Additionally, the project takes on a unique format with the intention of fostering community development. This is achieved through the advertisement of local businesses, community programs, and recreational areas and the promotion of community engagement, cultural enrichment, and civic education. The project offers two distinct ways for community involvement: participating in person through various activities or staying connected online to receive valuable information, tips, classes, and resources.
